Surface-induced aggregation of ferritin at a liquid-solid interface

摘要: The kinetics of adsorption and the spatial distribution adsorbed ferritin was studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) using a hydrophobic quartz grid as solid substrate. It found that initial process appears growth molecular clusters at liquid-solid interface. rate limited mass transport from bulk to — Density-density correlation analysis c(r) protein within computer-aided image showed fractal dimension d f =1.05 short distances (100 nm). is smaller than values obtained theoretical models two-dimensional diffusion-limited aggregation, indicating limitation does not determine structure clusters.
