摘要: In the Mediterranean region, land systems have been shaped gradually through centuries. They provide services to a large and growing population in region that is among most vulnerable future global change. The spatial extent distribution of is, however, unknown. this paper, we present new, expert-based classification systems, representing landscapes as integrated social-ecological systems. We combined data on cover, management intensity livestock available European scale geographic information system based approach. put special emphasis agro-silvo-pastoral mosaic systems: multifunctional hosting different human activities are not represented common cover maps. By analyzing location conditions identified demonstrated significance both bio-physical (precipitation, soil) socio-economic (population density, market influence) factors driving occurrence these Agro-silvo-pastoral were estimated 23.3% ecoregion exhibited certain similar characteristics forest cropland A reanalysis using with coverage indicated choice datasets leads significant uncertainties pattern resulting typology can be used prioritize protect high cultural environmental significance.
