摘要: The nation has experienced a marked increase in measles cases during 1989 and 1990. Almost one half of all have occurred unvaccinated preschool children, mostly minorities. principal cause for the epidemic is failure to provide vaccine vulnerable children on schedule. Major reasons low coverage exist within health care system itself, which creates barriers obtaining immunization fails take advantage many opportunities vaccines children. Ideally, immunizations should be given as part comprehensive child program. However, cannot await development such an ideal system. Essential changes can made now. Specific recommendations include improved availability immunization; management services; capacity measure childhood status; implementation two-dose strategy; laboratory, epidemiologic, operational studies further define determinants decreased develop new combinations that administered earlier life. may warning flag problems with our primary care.
