Public interest in spa therapy during the COVID-19 pandemic: analysis of Google Trends data among Turkey.

摘要: In Turkey, spas are widely used and preferred by patients who seeking relief from their disability pain. The spa therapy program is partly reimbursed the national health insurance system. objective of present study was to leverage Google Trends elucidate public interest in Turkey during COVID-19 pandemic. queried analyze search trends within for Turkish term representing a (i.e., kaplica) January 01, 2016, September 30, 2020. relative volume “kaplica” statistically significantly decreased March 15–May 2020 (− 73.04%; p < 0.001); May 31–July 25, 41.38%; July 26–September 19, 29.98%; p < 0.001) periods compared similar preceding 4 years (2016–2019). After June 1, 2020, shown have moderate recovery, without reaching level 2016–2019. Public showed an initial sharp decline between mid-March May, with increase June–August period. This finding might be indicative preference undertaking places providing rehabilitation both non-COVID-19 survivors long-term symptoms
