The herpetofauna of the Gaza Strip with particular emphasis on the vicinity of Wadi Gaza

摘要: The reptiles and amphibians of the Gaza Strip Wadi were surveyed during a period two years (2002 - 2004). A total number 21 herpetofaunistic species (2 turtles, 8 lizards, snakes 3 anurans) belonging to three orders 15 families was encountered. described all resident mostly found throughout year. diversity terrestrial aquatic ecosystems in study area encouraged occurrence species. However, ever-increasing human impact on existing natural resources has threatened ecology wildlife, where populations frogs many reptilian are declining an alarming fashion. results reinforce necessity long- term inventories order understand dynamics other wildlife communities area.
