摘要: Many national water policies propagate community-based participatory approaches to overcome weaknesses in supply-driven rural provision, operation, and maintenance. Citizen involvement is thought stimulate bottom-up accountability broaden the information base, which may enrich design implementation processes foster improved accessibility sustainability. Practices on ground, however, are embedded socio-political realities mediate possible beneficial effects of approaches.
