摘要: A new liquid crystalline photoconductor, 2-(4'-heptyloxyphenyl)-6-dodecylthiobenzothiazole exhibiting a smectic (SmA) phase between 90° C and 100° was synthesized its photoconductive behavior characterized by steady-state current-voltage measurements under ultraviolet illumination. large photocurrent with clear response to the illumination is observed in SmA isotropic phases contrast very small polycrystalline phase. The experimental results suggest electronic conduction of calamitic crystal.
