摘要: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect Reiki as an alternative and complementary ap proach treating community-dwelling older adults who experience pain, depression, and/or anxiety. Participants (N = 20) were randomly assigned either experimental or wait list control group. pre- posttest measures included Hamilton Anxiety Scale, Geriatric Depression Scale-Short Form, Faces Pain heart rate blood pressure. research design component examine changes in these a descriptive (semi-structured interview) elicit information about having treatments. Significant differences ob served between treatment groups on anxiety; no pressure noted. Content analysis notes interviews revealed five broad categories responses: Relaxation; Improved Physical Symptoms, Mood, Well-Being; Curiosity Desire Learn More; Enhanced Self-Care; Sensory Cognitive Responses Reiki.
