摘要: Abstract The Luoyixi section, exposed in a roadcut along the Youshui River (Fengtan Reservoir), Guzhang County, Hunan Province, China, is proposed as stratotype for base of an unnamed stage boundary (base Cambrian provisionally termed Stage 7). position GSSP 121.3 m above Huaqiao Formation, at horizon coinciding with first appearance cosmopolitan agnostoid trilobite Lejopyge laevigata . section fulfills all requirements GSSP, and can be constrained not only primary stratigraphic marker ( L. ) but also secondary biostratigraphic, sequence-stratigraphic, chemostratigraphic correlation tools. one most readily recognizable levels Cambrian, correlated precision to paleocontinents.
