摘要: Abstract The structure of the (110) surface tungsten bronze Na 2/3 WO 3 has been studied by scanning tunnelling microscopy. Two different types image with threefold periodicity along [110] direction are observed. ×3 is shown to be inconsistent a model proposed in earlier work that involved an ordered arrangement ions at bulk-truncated surface. On basis atomistic simulation framework, two new structures proposed, both which involve {100} nanofacets.
