摘要: Debates about the regulatory requirements surrounding introduction of nanotechnology products have, at least in Australia, remained largely within disciplinary boundaries and industry academic circles. This paper argues for a more interdisciplinary inclusive upstream debate ethical, legal frameworks that may avoid loss public trust has characterised many new technologies past. Insights from risk-perception theory research are used to introduce notion risk as narrative framework action. suggests three main strategies moving forward; drawing insights “trust gap” experiences other technologies; application active form precautionary principle; and, creation nano-futures meet both community values through effective engagement.
