摘要: We investigate and validate a novel method to fabricate ultrathin optical probes for common-path coherence tomography (CP-OCT). The are obtained using 65 μm barium titanate microsphere inserted into an inward concave cone chemically etched at the end of single-mode fiber. demonstrate that high refractive index (n=1.95) microspheres allows one maintain sensitivity even while imaging in liquids, reaching 83 dB. Due its low cost, flexibility, ease use, probe holds promise development new generation needle-based OCT systems.
