摘要: Abstract Spleen blood-flow was measured in 17 patients with gross splenomegaly by a new and atraumatic 133 xenon rebreathing technique. A mean value of 1·6 litres per minute obtained, 5 the splenic accounted for more than 20% cardiac output. It is postulated that spleen itself acts as an arteriovenous fistula which turn responsible abnormally large blood-volume found some splenomegaly.
