Dynamic surface properties of eco-friendly phenylalanine glycerol ether surfactants at the W/A interface

摘要: Abstract Dynamic surface tension and dilatational viscoelasticity data are presented for aqueous solutions of novel nonconventional eco-friendly phenylalanine glycerol ether surfactants, with 12 carbon atoms in the hydrophobic alkyl chain, PhGE . Adsorption kinetics is studied a broad range concentrations time scales spanning from several milliseconds to hours employing maximum bubble pressure tensiometry drop profile tensiometry. Standard free energy adsorption diffusion coefficients both short long times calculated discussed. For lie physically reasonable but extremely low values computed indicating presence an barrier. This barrier appears mask any micellar effect times. Measurements interfacial storage modulus loss indicate visco-elastic character layer all examined oscillation frequencies. Local peaks moduli imply that structural changes occur increasing concentration. However, these seem be unrelated micelles since they observed at below CMC.
