摘要: This article examines changes in livelihood strategies response to flooding. It does soon the basis of a household survey which was undertaken three provinces north-central Vietnam. All households were regularly affected by flooding, but only poor experienced long-term negative effects. The research showed that high impact natural disasters is correlated with decreases income over time. As disaster relief offered authorities marginal compared economic losses, some react increasing off-farm incomes (including remittances from overseas-migrated members). We observed do not switch losses; this perhaps because they have inadequate skills. However, on average our are becoming richer time, despite flooding provinces. ends looking at vulnerability–resilience debate concluding poorer could enter vulnerability loop, unless new cope hazards suggested.
