Comparative Analysis of State-of-the-Art EDoS Mitigation Techniques in Cloud Computing Environment

摘要: A new variant of the DDoS attack, called Economic Denial Sustainability attack has emerged. Since cloud service is based on pay-per-use model, EDoS endeavors to scale up resource usage over time point purveyor server financially incapable sustaining due incurred unaffordable charges. The implication a major security as more elastic services are being deployed. Existing techniques detect and mitigate such attacks either have low accuracy or ineffective and, in some cases, aggravate even further. Therefore, an Enhanced Mitigation Mechanism proposed address these shortcomings using OpenFlow statistical techniques, i.e. Hellinger Distance Entropy. experiments clearly depicted that EMM able with high it effective terms utilization compared existing mitigation techniques. Thus, can be deployed environment without need for additional requirements.
