摘要: The spatio-temporal organizations of vehicular traffic in cellular-automata models with `slow-to-start' rules are qualitatively different from those the Nagel-Schreckenberg (NaSch) model highway traffic. Here we study effects such a slow-to-start rule, introduced by Benjamin, Johnson and Hui (BJH), on distributions distance-headways, time-headways, jam sizes gaps between successive jams combination approximate analytical calculations extensive computer simulations. We compare these results for BJH corresponding NaSch interpret qualitative differences nature two terms phase separation caused rule model.
