摘要: Bright, orange-colored plaques were found at bifurcations of the retinal arterioles in 27 235 patients with occlusive disease within carotid arterial system and 4 93 vertebral-basilar system. Some these later disappeared from retina, some remained stationary, still others observed to move distally. In 6 35 recent endarterectomy, new appeared during or shortly after operation. An occasional plaque caused occlusion arteriole. These apparently consist embolic material atheromatous lesions aorta arteries. The finding such on routine ophthalmoscopy constitutes an important sign atherosclerosis even otherwise asymptomatic person.
