摘要: PET imaging is a widely applicable but very expensive technology. Strategies that can significantly reduce the high cost of are highly desirable both for research and commercialization. On-site synthesis one important contributor to cost. In this report, we demonstrated feasibility synthesis-free method brown adipose tissue (BAT) translocator protein 18kDa (TSPO) via combination Disulfiram, an FDA approved drug alcoholism, 64CuCl2 (termed 64Cu-Dis). Our blocking studies, Western blot, histological suggested observed BAT contrast was due 64Cu-Dis binding TSPO, which further confirmed as specific biomarker using [18F]-F-DPA, TSPO-specific tracer. first time, TSPO could serve potential BAT. Furthermore, since obtained with [18F]-F-DPA not dependent on activation, these agents be used reliably mass. Additional value our approach applied in other tissues it established neuro-inflammation activated microglia plays role immune response, steroid synthesis, apoptosis. Although here BAT, believe strategy extended targets while reducing imaging.
