摘要: In LiHoxY1?xF4, the magnetic Holmium Ho3+ ions behave as effective Ising spins that can point parallel or antiparallel to crystalline c-axis. The predominant inter-Ho3+ interaction is dipolar, while Y3+ are non-magnetic. application of a field Bx transverse c-axis direction leads quantum spin-flip fluctuations, making this material rare physical realization celebrated model. problems classical and transverse-field-induced phase transitions in LiHoxY1?xF4 dipolar ferromagnetic (x = 1), diluted (0.25 ? x < 1) highly 0.25 spin glass regimes have attracted much experimental theoretical interest over past twenty-five years. Two questions received particular attention: (i) there an antiglass (quantum disordered) at low concentration (ii) what mechanism responsible for fast Bx-induced destruction 0.25) phases? This paper reviews some recent progress our understanding collective phenomena play both zero nonzero Bx.
