摘要: A series of terminal dicyanovinylene (DCV)-substituted S,N-heterohexacenes with variable lengths alkyl chains were synthesized and characterized for application in vacuum-processed planar-heterojunction bulk-heterojunction organic solar cells. X-ray single crystal analysis hexyl-substituted derivative 4 revealed that the molecules are ordered columns via π–π-stacking. While influence chain length is negligible on optoelectronic properties, an odd–even effect was observed respect to photovoltaic performance. Vacuum-processed cells prepared using DCV-substituted as electron donors C60 acceptor showed extraordinary high efficiencies up 5.0%. Bulk-heterojunction incorporating pentyl 3 led excellent power conversion 7.1% exceeding those previously reported S,N-heteropentacenes.
