摘要: A primary feature of the Math and Science Partnership Program Evaluation (MSP PE) is examination K-12 student achievement changes associated with National Foundation’s (NSF) (MSP) Program. This article describes one three complementary assessments being conducted by MSP-PE, consists a synthesis findings reported MSP projects themselves (the other two also are described in this volume). The assessment covers 39 48 project awards made NSF from 2002 to 2004. Data sources included projects’ annual evaluation reports submitted through 2006-07 research manuscripts developed MSPs for presentation at conferences. dimensional cross-MSP matrix was reveal disparate efforts undertaken present perspective. number challenges faced as revealed current assessment, including: a) many report districtwide data even though may not have implemented activities district level; b) that chosen define pre-established benchmarks later comparison actual performance usually discussed any rationale selecting their particular numeric benchmarks; c) scores multiple grade levels both science mathematics, making an overall interpretation difficult; d) should endeavor identify amount professional development appears make discernable difference outcomes; e) most frameworks poised go beyond establishing concurrent trends testing more strongly efficacy MSP’s activities.
