摘要: SCOPE: Obesity is characterized by a dysfunction in the adipose tissue and an inflammatory subclinical state leading to insulin resistance increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. It also associated with intestinal dysbiosis that contributes inflammation development. Lippia citriodora (LCE) contains high levels polyphenolpropanoids has shown promising results obesity. The aim this study investigate well‐characterized extract LCE model metabolic syndrome mice, focusing on its effects tissues, endothelial dysfunction, microbiome. METHODS: Mice are fed fat diet (HFD) for six weeks treated daily (1, 10, 25 mg kg⁻¹). Glucose lipid metabolism investigated. tissues microbiota composition characterized, as well endothelium‐dependent vasodilator response acetylcholine. RESULTS: reduces accumulation improves plasma glycemic profiles, process vascular dysfunction. Moreover, lessens dysbiosis, it Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio increases Akkermansia abundance comparison untreated HFD mice. CONCLUSION: antiobesity therapeutic properties most probably mediated synergic bioactive compounds.
