摘要: Inverted-V events have been examined in detail to identify small scale structures within them which might be related auroral arcs. The rate of energy deposition into the atmosphere by precipitating electrons inverted-Vs was computed from spectra measured AE-D satellite for 30 passes. Bursts high with a short duration (<5 seconds) were found inside inverted-V events. From an examination 45 bursts, most bursts latitudinal width less than 0.2°, and occurred 65° 75° invariant latitude during evening hours (19-01 MLT). Optical emission intensities 5577 A 6300 inferred electron fluxes show these capable producing bright emissions. These results suggest that narrow proper characteristics cause discrete arcs atmosphere.
