摘要: PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES To explore the experiences of women with gestational trophoblastic neoplasia during and after treatment to understand their perspectives, priorities, concerns.
. RESEARCH APPROACH A descriptive, exploratory study using in-depth semistructured interviews.
. SETTING All interviews were conducted in a quiet, designated room at Weston Park Hospital Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
. PARTICIPANTS Women who had received stem cell transplantation from 2003 2013. Ten patients eligible, eight agreed participate.
. METHODOLOGIC Interviews carried out over phone recorded transcribed verbatim. Framework analysis was generate descriptions participants' experiences.
. FINDINGS Participants described significant physical, psychological, social effects following treatment. Recovery slow, long-term on sexuality body image. The impact women's diagnosis children primary concern.
. INTERPRETATION provided insight into multidimensional transplantation, which can continue need for family-centered services dependent identified.
. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING Nurses develop that effectively communicate challenges provide care late rehabilitation services.
