摘要: We investigated patterns of community structure (species composition, foraging activity, and nightly patterns) bats in relation to gradients environmental variation a tropical urban area. A total 32 sites spread equally across eight habitat types were sampled the city Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. Each site was on 3 non-consecutive occasions using automated AnaBat systems. Eleven species confidently identified while possible four more only genus level. Ordination variables measured at these two distinct reflecting degree urbanisation foliage density. With increasing there decline richness activity. used regression trees characterise preferences each species. This analysis suggested that one Mormopterus able exploit resources provided by urbanisation. foraged areas with higher numbers white streetlights. The remaining preferred forage within close proximity natural vegetation low density long-established suburbs did not substantially reverse trend for have fewer bat than original habitats.
