摘要: Efforts to make blood transfusion as safe possible have focused on making the in bag disease-free possible. The results been dramatic, and costs correspondingly high. Although services will continue deal with emerging pathogens, efforts reduce of infectious agents presently posing a risk require high incremental result only improvements small magnitude. other aspect transfusion, actual process performed primarily hospitals, has accorded considerably less interest. We should turn our attention enhancing overall safety by focusing improving transfusion. Errors involving patient, specimen, product identification put transfused patients at risk, increasing mortality for some. Solutions that could improve are discussed focus this article.
