摘要: Aims/introduction To investigate the direct medical costs for patients with type 2 diabetes in China and to examine influencing factors. Materials methods In present multicenter study, 1,070 from 16 tertiary hospitals 14 major cities of were enrolled. Patient data collected during a follow-up period 6 months at intervals 1 month. The log-transformed fitted by generalized estimation equation indicator variables demographics, metabolic control, treatments, complications comorbidities. Results Data 871 participants included analysis. mean annual total outpatient $1,990.20 $1,687.20 respectively. average per inpatient admission $2,127.10. share out-of-pocket costs, cost 45.4, 46.3 26.0% Independent determinants duration, dyslipidemia diabetic complications, such as neuropathy nephropathy, well treatment, use glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists. Costs showed prominent variation across centers. Conclusions Diabetes is imposing growing economic burden China. Diabetes-related comorbidities have great impact on costs. As different health policies, development regional inequalities also an important influence cost, healthcare reform needs optimize resource allocation service delivery systems, provide more equitable affordable healthcare.
