摘要: In recent years, research into the engineering properties of highly organic materials have been undertaken to determine their when used as road embankment fill materials. A prime contributor wastes in municipal landfills is spent coffee grounds from cafes and domestic households. As part this research, an extensive suite environmental tests were on obtained several popular Melbourne, Australia evaluate potential use a non-structural material embankments. The included, particle size distribution, Atterberg limits, density, standard compaction tests, static triaxial oedometer consolidation, pH content tests. addition, chemical comprising leaching polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon grounds. From perspective, found pose no issue for material. high content, low maximum dry densities optimum moisture restricts usage applications where will not sustain traffic loadings. embankments was be viable end-of-life option divert furthermore maximize naturally present vegetation purposes.
