摘要: Molecular imaging has emerged as an indispensable technology in the development and application of drug delivery systems. Targeted agents report presence biomolecules, including therapeutic targets disease biomarkers, while biological behaviour labelled systems can be non-invasively assessed real time. As modality, fluorescence offers additional signal specificity dynamic information due to inherent responsivity interactions with other optical species their environment. Harnessing this is basis activatable imaging, where between engineered agent its target induce a fluorogenic response. Small molecule are frequently derivatives common fluorophores designed chemically react target. Macromolecular scale useful for proteins nucleic acids, although difficult. Nanoscale combine unique physical properties nanomaterials. The molecular overall complexity dictate most advantageous size activation strategy.
