摘要: As global momentum and investment for accelerating maternal child survival grows, monitoring of progress at the country level has become even more needed. Millennium Development Goal 4 (MDG 4) calls a two-thirds reduction in mortality rate among children under age 5 years between 1990 2015. Generating accurate estimates under-5 poses considerable challenge because limited data available many developing countries. In response, experts UNICEF, WHO, World Bank, UN Population Division (UNPD), members academic community formed Inter-agency Group Child Mortality Estimation (IGME).1 The IGME aims to source share on mortality, improve harmonise estimation methods across partners, produce consistent levels trends worldwide.
