摘要: Description: Update of the 2002 U. S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendation statement on screening for breast cancer in general population. Methods: The USPSTF examined evidence efficacy 5 modalities reducing mortality from cancer: film mammography, clinical examination, self-examination, digital and magnetic resonance imaging order to update recommendation. To accomplish this update, commissioned 2 studies: 1) a targeted systematic review 6 selected questions relating benefits harms screening, 2) decision analysis that used population modeling techniques compare expected health outcomes resource requirements starting ending mammography at different ages using annual versus biennial intervals.
