摘要: In chromium tanning process, about 20–40% of applied is usually discharged into sewerage system causing serious environmental impact. The spent effluents collected from two local small-size tanneries indicated that concentration ranged 1300–2500 mg Cr6+/l, while NaCl varies 40000 to 50000 mg/l. study removal efficiency by using a pilot-scale setup 7 and 16 bar RO membrane units at different working pressures under variable salt concentrations were carried out remove the hazardous effluent recover it for further recycling. proved technique able separate efficiently pretreated wastewater. low-cost units, i.e. medium low pressure, could be used economically separation recovery wastewater shops.
