摘要: SAMANTA JN, SARAVANAN R, GAJBHIYE NA & MANDAL K. 2012. Growth, photosynthetic competence and oleo-gum resin production of guggal (Commiphora wightii) across soil moisture nitrogen gradient. Guggal ( Commiphora is a small tree, widely distributed in the forest arid western India Pakistan, which yields (guggul). The present study was an attempt to increase growth rate with external inputs such as irrigation. Individual rooted cuttings were grown pots supplemented 17 or 34 mg kg"1 through urea, potassium nitrate glycine. However, did not have significant effect on plant rate, leaf chlorophyll, photosynthesis yield quality compared control. Similarly, at five different regimes (30-10%, 5% intervals labelled SM30-SM10). Plants higher depletion reacted by stomatal closure reduce transpiration rate. Total chlorophyll content drastically declined from 1.5 (SM30) 0.5 g"1 (SMI0). Consequently, hampered significantly depleting moisture. SM30 supported best indicated height leaves per plant. Guggul 11-20% SM15-SM10 but its gradually improved deficit. Hence, will be important organised farming this species.
