Rapid increase in contact allergy to Kathon® CG in Finland

摘要: In unselected eczema patients subjected to routine patch testing, the number with positive reactions Kathon CG 100 ppm increased from none in 1983 0.7% January-August 1985, and 4.6% September 1985 March 1986. Repeated open application tests (ROAT) creams containing 7-15 of isothiazolinones were 12 24 tested. 2 ROAT-positive cases had negative CG, but 1 was 200 ppm. Atopic dermatitis, chronic hand dermatitis lower leg most common disorders patients. The cause rapid increase allergy Finland during winter 1985-1986 use a popular moisturizing cream first 19 ppm, then 7 mixture (Euxyl K 100).
