摘要: Abstract This study compared the effects of drying on beet pulp with and without added molasses by measuring in sacco digestibility composition including fiber polysaccharides minerals. Beet was sampled before after addition from four different sugar processing plants within California. These samples were sub-sampled then sun-, freeze-, or air-dried. The percentage averaged about 27%. After glucose, arabinose second most prevalent neutral non-starch polysaccharides. Molasses did not result a significant change crude protein, ether extract, TDN, ribose, Mg content. Fiber components, other minerals, detergent (NDF) residues significantly versus molasses. However, NDF remaining at 24 h fermentation time differed less than three units. Method affected NDF, acid (ADF), protein ADF, mannose, pectin content but differences small probably biologically important. Although lowest for freeze-dried highest sun-dried all times, they only 6 h. Sun-dried 6 12 h higher pulp. Drying had little affect components measured. Results this experiment suggest nutritional characteristics are generally similar to wet
