摘要: The plasma levels of human chorionic somatomammotropin (hCS), estriol (E3), dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DHA-S), cortisol and the circadian changes two last adrenal hormones were studied in 25 pregnant methadone-addicted women (MA) 21 drug-naive controls (C) at different periods gestation 13 non-pregnant (7 MA 6 drug-naive). showed normal hCS both second (6.9 ± 0.1 vs. 7.2 μg/ml) third (9.6 0.2 9.3 0.2) trimester, while concentrations E3 term lower than (MA: 4.4 0.8; C: 8.2 1.0 ng/ml, P < 0.05). DHA-S half values three trimesters gestation, there no differences subjects. Circadian variations present C. blunted but found indicate that opiate abuse interferes with function, mainly fetus. Due to scarce availability precursors, these data suggest measurements should not be considered as a useful index fetal well-being presence addiction.
