摘要: Abstract A functional account of log steps in forest streams is provided by field surveys 163 kilometers the central Oregon Coast Range. Natural treefall, rather than silvicultural activities, accounts for majority steps. During low-flow conditions, dissipation potential stream energy amounts to 6 percent, approximately equal that falls. There are no statistically significant differences regarding spatial distribution between study basins with contrasting and natural inputs large woody debris.
