摘要: Dyspepsia is a syndrome characterized by symptoms and signs of upper gastrointestinal tract the adjacent organs. It estimated that 25% community have dyspepsia syndrome. One-third patients who visit general physician practices are with syndrome; half gastroenterologists also gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) very prevalent in throughout world.Gastroesophageal more commonly found daily medical practice. Until now,the natural history on GERD hardly understood, even though many scientists studied both conditions there frequently overlapping. In an individual, may occur simultaneously therefore they to be discriminated. The management performed keeping Indonesia Asia Pacific consensus, life-style modification administering acid suppression agents (Proton pump inhibitor (drug choice), H2-receptor antagonist, etc),prokinetic (Cisapride, domperidone, etc). Life-style shall as follows, i.e. sleep 30-45 degree elevated head or chest, do not avoid sour beverages, chocolate, coffee alcohol, fat various fried foods, food, less stress, stop smoking, small but frequent feeding, etc. There correlation between disease(GERD), particularly functional non-erosive (NERD). More appropriate definition necessary differentiate GERD. Further studies needed establish distinct criteria
