摘要: We examine how the passage of time since spousal loss varies by social and demographic characteristics, using data from University Alabama at Birmingham Study Aging. In multivariate analyses, African American race, female sex, lower income, higher risk isolation had significant independent associations with variation in loss. women were highest for long-term widowhood. Accurate characterizations widowhood among community-dwelling older adults must consider length individuals are living as widowed persons socioeconomic concomitants
