Transfer matrix method for point sources radiating in classes of negative refractive index materials with 2n-fold antisymmetry

摘要: We introduce a transfer matrix algorithm well-suited for negative refractive index materials. achieve clean mathematical derivation of the electromagnetic field radiated by finite and countable sets harmonic point sources within class perfect lenses [1] which present some periodicity along one axis. In case periodic set sources, combining coordinate transformation [2] with method enables rigorous calculation vector corner consisting intersecting planes delimiting positive media, in spirit [3]. contrast to [4] where two corners sharing same vertex led spatial oscillations surface plasmons being inversely as ln (σ), we observe that 2n (related 2n-fold antisymmetry) lead linearly decreasing absorption σ, large n.
