摘要: Abstract Notarchirico is the earliest Acheulean Italian site. On account of wide variety artefacts (cores, flakes, pebble tools and bifaces for some levels) raw materials, it also a key site analysing behavioural variability in record before 600 ka, investigating significance occupation levels with without bifaces. In this paper, we focus on upper part sequence, which was excavated by M. Piperno 1980s recently securely dated between 610 670 ka 40Ar/39Ar. The deposits consist superimposition sandy silty sediments, more or less intense interspersed sterile layers. Here present technological analysis lithic assemblages three paleosurfaces, F, E/E1 B. corpus from F B yielded bifaces, whereas no were found E/E1, where are mainly small flint nodules limestone pebbles. Technological strategies described levels, particular previously unpublished core technologies, compared to rest sequence comparable Southern European sites. We different hominin strategies, their modes adaptation diverse types geometries materials concomitant cultural shifts discussed way role activities traditions.
