摘要: Fucosyltransferases (FUTs) catalyze fucosylation, which plays a central role in biological processes. Aberrant fucosylation is associated with malignant transformation. Here we investigated whether transcriptional levels of genes coding the FUTs plasma could provide cell-free circulating biomarkers for lung cancer. mRNA expression all 13 Futs (Fut1-11, Pofut1, and Pofut2) was evaluated by PCR assay 48 tumor tissues matched noncancerous tissues, 64 cancer patients 32 cancer-free individuals to develop Fut biomarkers. The developed were validated an independent cohort 40 20 controls their diagnostic performance. Four showed different level compared nonconscious (all < 0.05). Two (Fut8, Pofut1) four had higher control subjects, consistent that tissue specimens. Combined analysis two produced 81% sensitivity 86% specificity diagnosis cancer, stage histology tumors. performance successfully individuals. may new early detection
