What really matters? A multi-view perspective of one patient’s hospital experience

摘要: Background: 'Patient experience' is both recognised and solicited as a means of assessing healthcare delivery method for gauging patient centredness. Research comparing recipient provider perceptions regarding the same episode care lacking. Aim: To identify what mattered to family member (healthcare recipients) during patient's hospital experience examine provider's awareness mattered. Methods: A qualitative descriptive investigation was undertaken using semi-structured interviews designed compare multiple one experience. Interviews were with patient, member, providers. definition sought from each participant. Additional phrases presented by coded grouped into categories then salient themes. Phrases providers coded, allocated previously identified Findings: One his wife seven (doctors (2), registered nurses (4) orderly (1)) interviewed. Definitions 'hospital differ between participants. Recipients include pre post admission periods, whereas limit admission. Three themes emerged data suggesting; medication management, physical comfort emotional security are recipients.
