Optimal sizing of an islanded microgrid using Evolutionary Strategy

摘要: In islanded microgrid design, a proper Distributed Energy Resource (DER) selection, sizing and effective coordination between resources are important challenging optimization tasks. The types sizes of renewable energy sources such as wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, the capacities battery bank other distributed generators must be optimized in design. this paper, problem is formulated nonlinear integer minimization which minimizes sum total capital, operational maintenance cost DERs, subject to constraints limits emission each DER Loss Power Supply Probability (LPSP) microgrid. This paper proposes an Evolutionary Strategy (ES) for solving problem. LPSP individual ES's population calculated by simulation 8760 hours year. proposed methodology was used design microgrids MODERN project. studies have shown that provides excellent convergence feasible optimum solution using evolutionary strategy.
