摘要: Patients with confirmed interstitial pneumonia were initially classified histologically into "desquamative" (n = 40) and "usual" 53) types, followed for one to 22 years. Both the diagnosis extent of fibrosis affected course response therapy. Mortality in desquamative was 27.5 per cent, mean survival 12.2 years, as compared 66.0 cent 5.6 years usual (P less than 0.01). Without treatment, 21.9 but none type improved. With corticosteroid therapy, 61.5 only 11.5 improved, whereas 27.0 69.2 worsened. We conclude that histologic classification chronic used here permits forecasts prognosis treatment cannot be deduced from other data.
