摘要: Few debates have proved more contentious than social policies targeting lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) individuals. Given the prominence of these in public discourse, this article provides a synthesis empirical literature on relationship between adverse mental health outcomes LGB populations. The aims are to: (a) review evidence that may directly contribute to disparities populations; (b) examine how also indirectly lead through multiple pathways, including decreased access health-promoting resources, as well increases exposure stressors elevations psychological risk factors for problems; (c) consider role psychologists can play addressing (d) evaluate limitations existing work propose several areas future inquiry; (e) discuss implications research It is argued eliminating populations will require interventions integrate levels analysis.
