摘要: Abstract The effects of experimentally induced and personally relevant stressors on low back EMG activity during 3 phases the menstrual cycle in women with premenstrual syndrome (PMS) pain were examined. Thirty-nine reporting either PMS severe (group 1), moderate 2), or those neither condition 3) participated. During each phase-specific assessment sessions, participants exposed to a neutral stimulus, an stressor, 2 Stressors randomized order. Concomitant monitoring heart interbeat interval was undertaken. Results indicated that group 1 evidenced greater changes response personal compared stimulus stress phase. also significantly higher phase than intermenstrual for 1, by groups same Group 2, while not as did reported levels physiological reactivity stressor 3. findings highlight link between concomitant physiologic responsivity role this arousal may play maintenance exacerbation pain.
