摘要: Abstract Female Sprague-Dawley rats were irradiated with fast neutrons to study the radiobiologic effect on parotid and submandibular salivary glands. Cytologic alterations seen in tissues as early 3 hours after exposure peaked both glands by fourth postradiation day. The injury was manifest damaged sequestered intracytoplasmic organelles appearing pleomorphic inclusions. two types of glandular tissue showed similar morphologic alterations. No blood vessels or other radiosensitive cells could be found.
