Women's attitudes regarding mode of delivery and cesarean delivery on maternal request

摘要: Objective. To explore women's attitudes and beliefs regarding cesarean delivery on maternal request (CDMR).Study design. Anonymous questionnaires assessing patient demographics, knowledge, about CDMR were distributed at the time of routine mid-trimester ultrasound appointment.Results. Eight hundred thirty three out 3929 (21.2%) potential participants completed questionnaire. About 81.7% indicated that they believed vaginal was a safer alternative for mother 72.8% it fetus. While only 6.1% women thought ‘a good idea’, most should have right to choose their mode option be offered everyone (85.9% 79.6%, respectively).
